Audrey Hepburn’s style is captivating year-round, but her summer looks deserve special attention. While vacationing in Antibes, the actress sported oversized sunglasses, and for boat excursions, she opted for wide-brimmed hats with distinctive shapes. During the filming of “Roman Holiday,” she shared gelato with Gregory Peck, dressed in a skirt that accentuated her waist. In her leisure time with her husband Mel Ferrer, she frequently wore checked capri pants. Fortunately, numerous photographs capture Audrey Hepburn’s varied summer fashion from her younger years.
Many of these photographs were taken at the renowned Bürgenstock Resort in Lucerne, Switzerland. In 1954, Audrey Hepburn married Mel Ferrer in the resort’s chapel. She later resided at Villa Bethania, a house also part of the resort complex. Eventually, the actress relocated to the Swiss town of Tolochenaz. There, she lived in an 18th-century farmhouse named La Paisible. Vogue featured this home in its April 1961 issue. When not engaged in filmmaking or promotional events in Hollywood, Audrey Hepburn enjoyed playing golf, tending to her garden, and relaxing amidst the Swiss Alps.
